KDP's Payment Service Provider Program Now Applies to All Publishers

Amazon originally launched the Payment Service Provider (PSP) Program for new bank accounts added after November 10, 2025. It's now being extended to everyone, including publishers who added a bank account before that date.

The real deadline: starting August 1, 2026, any publisher using a PSP as their bank account must be using one that participates in the program, this is required just to keep receiving payments and publishing on KDP at all.

If you're using a non-participating PSP, or haven't completed know-your-customer (KYC) verification with one that does participate, Amazon starts sending email notifications on June 15, 2026. Miss the August 1 deadline after that, and both your royalty payments and your ability to publish get placed on hold until it's fixed.
